On his last visit to the medical centre in Quesada before moving to Benidorm we told them he was moving and the staff came out to say goodbye, gave him hugs and some were in tears.

Suzanne would always make a fuss of him at the Chinese in Guardamar and would come over and give him a big hug, smiling whenever he arrived. 

The same with the owner of the Casa Blanca Bar and at the market in Almaradi ,they  would come over and gave him a kiss and asked how he was.

Even when we were having a coffee one day on the sea front in Guardamar. A looky looky man selling dvd's came over as he always did and said "hey Dell boy" which he always called dad for some reason. I think it was his cap. My watch had broken so he called his mate over who sells watches. He said let me see it and he sat down took the watch apart and repaired it. We offered to pay but he said "no, no that's for dellboy".
